2009
I guess I should finally update my blog. I am quite frustrated trying to figure out how to do it. I figure I am making it harder than it really is. Anyway, Utah is good. We live in a really pretty place. Mountains everywhere we look. The kids are done with school on Friday. Yipeeeee!!!! We are all ready for summer. The only problem is that means my kids are getting older and so much bigger. They are so much fun.

summer
So I decided to start a blog so that our friends and family could see what going on in our lives and we could share the fun and some pictures. Since we moved to Utah I feel we are out of the loop. Trying to get our lives adjusted to living away from family and trying to make new friends and keep sane. Can you believe it has almost been a year!! It has gone by soooo fast. I still feel I am not adjusted. It has been a real sacrifice to pick up and move (mostly for the kids). Burdette loves his job so it makes it all worth it.
So this was our first summer here and we tried to keep busy with lots of fun things. We did swimming lessons. First public lessons and then did private (which was so much better). The kids really excelled. They still have one more session to go through. Boston played T-ball. That was so much fun to watch. We went to the Stadium of fire on the Fourth of July. Mekenna, Ashley, and Lauren were so excited because Miley Cyrus was performing. It was a lot of fun. This is the kids after the show. We just hung out for a while after in the parking lot to let the crowd thin out. We also did some fishing this summer, went to the park and did a lot of bike riding. (although it has been really hot so we go late in the evening). Oh, and of course a ton of parades. Every town here has their own town days, which includes a parade. After about four we were done for the year.
They seem to being growing faster and faster every day. Along with that comes Burdette and I slowly turning into our parents. Each day something else comes out of my mouth that I swore I would never say to "MY KIDS" when I became a mom. Well that didn't last. Oh well, I guess it was bound to happen one day!!
